영화제 13회를 맞이하며...

햇수로 10년하고도 3년이다.

좀 거창하게 말하면, 우리가 살고 있는 이 지긋지긋한 자본주의를 비판하면서 노동운동을 고민하고 노동자의 삶과 투쟁을 들여다보고 새로운 사회를 꿈꾸면서 시작한 노동영화제가 지나온 시간이다.

아쉬움도 많았지만, 해외 노동영화와 국내의 노동영화들을 소개하는 유일한 영화제로 중요한 역할들을 해왔다.

올 해는 그 어느 때보다도 어려운 때이다.

영화제의 생존의 위기를 느끼는 때이다.

많은 아쉬움을 남길지도 모른다.

그러나 영화제는 시작된다.

13년 전의 처음의 그 심정으로..
